2025 Highlights
2025 saw the 51st Titchfield Art & Craft Show - which is one of the longest running in the Solent area. However, for over half of the committee members, it was their first time being in charge! We would be lying if we didn’t admit is was at times exhausting and we weren’t sure if we’d be able to pull it out of the bag… but we did and we are enormously proud to say that just over £7,000 was raised for local charities. We managed to showcase local children’s art, promote craft artisans, hung art from beginners and professional artists alike and welcomed back visitors old and new! Here are some of our top picks from the 2025 Show.

The Worshipful The Mayor of Fareham, Councillor Pal Hayre and our Chair, Caroline Shields at the Private View

We were thrilled that Councillor Pal Hayre joined us at the Preview Evening and stayed for over two hours!
Afterwards, she shared the following words with us: "It was a real pleasure to attend such a vibrant and inspiring event. The standard of work on display was truly incredible, and I thoroughly enjoyed the evening. I would also like to express my gratitude to the whole team behind the Show for their hard work and dedication in putting together such a wonderful event. The attention to detail and the welcoming atmosphere were a testament to the passion and effort that clearly went into making the evening such a success."
Alison Ascough and her wonderful team behind the Private View
Alison is the talent behind the smooth running of the hotly anticipated Private View. This is exactly what it says on the tin - a first chance to be able to browse the exhibition and craft artisan's work before anybody else! This is always on the Friday evening before the Show weekend. Some people have been coming every year and Alison should know what she's doing now as it was her 27th year!
Anyone can come to the Private View - it's a ticketed event only but tickets are available to purchase online a few months before the Show opens. Each person receives a drink from the bar, plenty of nibbles and the ability to use their ticket to come back (free-of-charge) at any point throughout the weekend.

Happy Customers with
Jo from The Seaside Sew

Jo from The Seaside Sew in Stubbington with Titchfield Art & Craft Show regular Jane. We know that Jane loves colour, quality and a bag so she was absolutely thrilled to choose this fabulous slouch style. Made even better as it was a gift from her son.
Regular Artisan Crafter - Stitch & Sable

Liz Meecham was back at the Titchfield Art & Craft Show and loved by new and old customers alike. Her bestsellers are the wonderfully made but practical brush or pencil rolls which she designed and also makes herself. So many glorious colours to choose from.
Our First Year
of Craft Demos

We were honoured to have fan favourite, Nicky Heard demoing on her stand during the entire three days of last year's Show. She is an international name these days for creating what she terms 'painting with thread'. Her unique method of creating beautiful pictures through the art of needle felting onto canvas is fascinating to watch.

Children's Competition
Last year, the Children's Competition featured artwork by pupils aged between four and eleven from the local schools of Westhill Park and Titchfield Primary.
The competition has been an integral part of the show for over twenty years. Notable previous subjects have been The Olympics, The Jubilee, Imagination and Dragons and the Sea.
in 2025 the theme was left completely open so that budding artists could choose something personal to them.
There are three groups in the competition ensuring that the younger and older entrants are competing in a fair way.
We are lucky to have two sponsors for the competition; Penny Farthing Gallery in Botley who kindly frame the three winning pictures in each group. The other is The Art Society Solent whose Chair picks their favourite and awards an art-related prize.

Exhibit at our 2026 Show
The much anticipated 52nd Titchfield Art & Craft Show will return in 2026.
During the 2025 Show we saw over 1,400 visitors throughout the weekend but it’s not just the numbers of visitors we attract. Many of our regulars have become collectors of the art and crafts and are committed to supporting local artists and makers.
Our 2026 applications for crafters are now open and entry for artists will follow shortly. Please use the appropriate section below. If you have any questions regarding eligibility then please refer to our FAQs section.
Artist Entry Form
We do not curate our artist exhibits which means we accept entries from beginners to professionals. The only thing we say is that once the registration is live that we can only accept artists on a first come first served basis. Once we are full then we will shut the registration process. Also, we hang artists’ work by date it is registered and paid for - early birds will be at the front of the main hall!
Craft Application
We have a reputation for offering an extremely high standard of artisans within our craft side. We do curate the crafters we have so that we can ensure high quality, a mix of old and new faces and a good range of types of products available to buy. We have a tight turnaround for deciding our final lineup so we urge you to get your application in as early as possible after we go live.
Frequently Asked Questions
1
What is Building Control and why do I need it?
What is the Titchfield Art & Craft Show? This is an annual Show which began in 1974. It is held in the beautiful village of Titchfield in the South of Hampshire, UK. The Show usually takes place over a weekend in April but also and has a Private View (PV) on the Friday night before opening. This is a fantastic opportunity for anybody to purchase a ticket and come along to the Show before it officially opens on the Saturday. The Art side of the Show is over two Halls/Rooms and usually comprises of artwork from any media and includes a photography/digital section, miniatures and a children’s competition. We do not curate the Show meaning that anyone can apply to exhibit as long as we have physical space to hang the work. We recommend that people apply as early as possible to make sure that they get a place. We usually have art across every medium you can think of and not just framed pictures but wall hung sculptures, miniature pictures, portfolios (unframed but mounted originals or prints) and greeting cards. Every piece that is exhibited is available to buy (except the children’s competition entries). Each category is judged by an independent expert in their field. We also have guest demo artists throughout the Show so that visitors can see professional artists at work and have a chance to ask any questions. We have several rooms filled with artisan crafters who are at the top of their profession and bring us beautifully handmade products. These rooms are curated so that we can ensure the quality of items we are offering to the public. We have had feedback from the public that the Craft Show is one of the best they have visited. We usually have makers from ceramics, glassware, textiles, jewellery, handbags and so much more. We will have some demonstrations throughout the Show to let the public see how some of the crafts are produced. Many people love our refreshments section - a small seating area and kitchen selling delicious cakes, savouries and hot and cold drinks. These are provided by our local bakery in Stubbington.
